35/35

As of tomorrow, I'll officially be 35 weeks pregnant with just 35 days to go! Woo-hoo! Yes, I'm aware I never posted a 34 week belly picture (still waiting on the pictures from my aunt and sister from the shower), and then I figured I'd let my shower this weekend act as my 35 week picture. It feels great to be just 5 weeks away... and according to my appointment yesterday, I'm right on track. Speaking of my appointment.... It went great! I gained just 1 more pound in the last two weeks (I don't know how I managed that!) so now I'm up to a grand total of 13 lbs. of weight gain! Woo-hoo! I'm hoping that means that I can lose the unwanted pounds I had before getting pregnant after the baby comes rather than having to lose a lot of baby weight on top of it all! Then, I had my first internal which also included the Group B test. The whole thing was definitely not fun but Jellybean is in fact heads down just as the dr. previously had thought, and while effacement has begun, I'm only at a 1 so he's not going anywhere anytime soon. The Dr. also checked the amniotic fluids since it has been getting warmer and she's been having some concerns about dehydration with several other patients. I got the thumbs up though and told I'm doing good at drinking plenty of fluids since the levels were excellent! Thank goodness since I'm terrible about keeping myself hydrated normally and was worried I wasn't drinking enough.
That pretty sums up the whole appointment. It was nice seeing the little guy again when my fluids were checked, even though he no longer fits on the screen for the bedside ultrasound. He still has all that hair, and lately he's been really enjoying hanging out on my left side, stretching his legs out to the right. 2 more weeks till my next appointment to see how he's doing and hopefully progress will begin at that point. I'm ready to meet him, and our only hope is for an August baby which would put me at 38 weeks and 1 day to be in August. But of course, he'll get here when he gets here!
(For those asking... I'll post pictures of the showers as soon as I get them! Just gotta get my sister to e-mail me the first set and I plan on giving my mom my camera this weekend to use so that I have access to them!)

My youngest was born at 35 weeks and was just over 6lbs- perfect. This took place in August and till this day, I wish he had made it full term. I think in the whole scheme of things he would have done better in school -plus. He is the youngest in his class and I see a difference that didn't exist with the other kids.

That said, I wished him early way back then. Hard to believe he will be getting a drivers license shortly. Sends chills up my spine knowing my baby is growing up.
