The economy hits home

I'm officially unemployed. Today I was added to the long list of layoffs as a result of our economy. Of course I never thought it would happen having my degree for less than a week. Happy graduation to me. If anyone in Salt Lake knows of any openings for new Civil Engineering graduates, I'll be more than happy to fill it! Or, if you happen to know of any job for that matter, I'm open!

I'm sorry Melissa! I feel your pain, it's such a crappy situation to be in. Hope you find something soon!

ugh. I am so sorry. Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but the new Canyons School District that split from Jordan is hiring lots of people for tons of positions...not just teachers etc...but for people at their new district offices....just an idea... i think it's canyondistrict.com? not sure..google it.

Not good, but it could be worse - keep your head up. Stay positive and you will be employed after you have 6 weeks at home with your to-be new little man. God works in mysterious ways - being a graduate with an engineer degree [one of the most employable] who would think you would be dealt this hand. Not I. So, maybe you need this time to prepare your nest, have your son, bond with your son and find the job/career you will LOVE!

This is going to be a huge blessing in disguise - you wait and see.
